It’s the year 2020, and I have decided to come off the pill after 12 years. Yes, THE pill.

Luckily for me, this coincided with COVID and staying indoors because I was preparing for a MEGA breakout.
It didn’t come.
You know what else didn’t come? My period.
FOR FIVE MONTHS.
Yea…
Despite what we are taught about our cycle, bleeding every month is VERY important. It is considered a fifth vital sign for women.
Equally as important (and never taught) is learning to HARNESS your cycle for maximum productivity and system regulation. a.k.a making sure you are on FIYA 🔥
Answer these for me:
✅ I know how to structure my work days and weeks according to my cycle
✅ I know how and what to eat at different phases of my cycle
✅ I know what types of exercises are beneficial for me throughout my cycle
✅ I know that there are 4 stages (also known as seasons) of my menstrual cycle
How many did you tick? None? I was there too.
Before learning how absolutely rockstar my built-in menstrual cycle is, I was running on the 24-hour cycle, eating, exercising, and working like… a man.
If you want to squeeze all the juice out of your day (and life), it is SUPER DUPER important that you learn how to live in tune with your body.
Hacking my hormones to work for me has allowed me to structure my days, weeks, and months according to where my power is at that time. And I want the same for you.
SO
Let’s do a quick crash course on how to leverage your cycle to get the money and time freedom results that you want.
🌸 Springtime: Follicular phase (± Day 6–14) — Creativity is on TAP 🥂. This is your time for brainstorming new projects, planning, and setting big, audacious goals. a.k.a your time to be chutzpah with your dreams 🚀
🏖️ Summertime: Ovulatory phase (± Day 15–17) — Daily mic drop moments.🎙️ Communication and collaboration skills are at their peak. Use this time for client pitches, negotiations, networking, and team building.
🍃 Autumn: Luteal phase (± Day 18–28) — Total productivity powerhouse. I think of this as the “ass-on-chair” phase. It’s when I get the most done. Ideal for focusing on details, completing projects, and handling (boring!) tasks that have been piling up.
⛄ Winter: Menstruation phase (± Day 1–5) — Tap into your intuition and reflect. How has the month gone, where can you improve? Course correct and check in with your gut. Allow time to reflect.
Let me be clear, harnessing your hormones doesn’t REPLACE productivity tools entirely. Adding structure and process to your workday is in an integral part of setting yourself up for success. What it does do, is allow you to structure and plan tasks for when you will FEEL your best to do them.
